ABOUT
This designer’s leather bags from Morocco bring new life to old artifacts. The handbags’ colorful panels come from hand-woven Moroccan rugs – many of the rugs are over a hundred years old and no longer useful due to other sections being beyond repair.
The leather is sustainably sourced in small amounts to match their limited production – whether offcuts from other small scale manufacturers or dead stock from larger producers.
Her husband and his family manage production of twelve employees in the workshop in Casablanca. It takes a day to put together one bag.
