This mother-daughter team based in Nairobi, Kenya, designs furniture and home decor items. Their line includes sofas, tables, chairs, light fixtures and more.
They work with nineteen artisans across Nairobi, each a specialist in their craft. For instance, the wire lamps are crafted by an iron door maker, who expertly builds the steel wire frames. He spray-coats the metal frames with automotive paint and uses a secret technique he developed to dry the paint in Nairobi’s humid environment without the need for an energy-intensive drying shed.
